In 2001 Dr. Daniel Zielonka graduated M.D. degree from the Medical Academy of Poznan. He was engaged in research on Huntington’s disease (HD) during his study and in 2004 he defended his Ph.D. thesis at the Medical Academy in Poznan. Dr. Daniel Zielonka started to work at the Chair of Social Medicine of the Medical Academy in Poznan in 2006 and when name of this institution was changed into the Poznan University of Medical Sciences in 2007 he continued his work. From 2006 dr. Daniel Zielonka achieved a position of language area coordinator (LAC) of the European Huntington’s Disease Network (EHDN) in Poland. EHDN from 2007 closely collaborate with the Polish Huntington’s Disease Association and in 2009 dr. Daniel Zielonka was invited to act as supporting member of the association. In 2008 dr. Daniel Zielonka is specialist in neurology and from 2015 is head of Department of Epidemiology of Rare Diseases and Neuroepidemiology of Poznan University of Medical Sciences in Poznan. From 2016 dr. Daniel Zielonka is also senior LAC in EHDN.

His scientific contribution consist of several articles published in Polish and foreign journals. Beside of HD he is interested in other rare neurological disorders. Dr. Daniel Zielonka is originator of European rare neurological disorders network formation. He is always open for patients’ needs and support them in troubles and when it they need his help.
